Our kids parties are AWESOME! We have around an hour of activity followed by 20 – 30 mins to enjoy the birthday food and cake. 

A typical kids axe throwing party looks like this:

12pm: Arrival in Llandudno, check-in, coat collections, name badges.

12:10pm: Kids are shown how to throw the axes.

12:15pm:  We split the kids into groups to play / practice. 

12:50pm: Time to find the champion! We hold an axe throwing competition with a trophy for the winner.

13:10pm: Food, drinks, and cake.

13:45pm: End

HOW SAFE IS IT?

Extremely! The kids axes are made of plastic and the targets employ hundreds of small bristles that catch and hold the axes. There is no access to the real axes while kids parties are on.

WHAT TIMES?

Kids parties generally last for about an hour and a half, but we allow one hour and forty-five minutes in total.

The weekday slot is 16:00
Weekend slots are 10:00 and 12:00

Will there be anyone else at the venue?

Only staff, parents and kids will be there. You’ll have exclusive use of Johnny Throws for the duration of your time slot.
Note: Kids Party slots end at quarter to the hour, and this is when our main bookings usually arrive for safety and skills briefings.

KIDS AXE THROWING BIRTHDAY PARTIES

WHAT DO THE KIDS GET?

Our childrens birthday parties are AWESOME! We have around an hour of activity followed by approx 30 mins to enjoy the birthday food and cake. Parents also have a role in our parties, keeping scores in the cages – don’t worry, you can take turns!

 

A typical kids axe throwing birthday party looks like this:

12pm Arrival, check-in, coat collections, mingling etc

12:10pm Five minute briefing from tournament coordinator.

12:15pm  Birthday boy or girl to choose team / group names from a hat. Parents volunteer to keep score where needed (this is so we can assign the children to axe throwing cages).

12:25pm Kids move to their assigned cages for 5 minute practice.

12:30pm Tournament starts! Typically 10 rounds of 3 axes each. Top 2 scorers from each cage play each other, whittled down to a semi-final and a final. These tournaments are dependent on the size of the party… 8 kids will have a different tournament than 30, for example, and the number of rounds / throws per round will be optimised to give the kids the best possible experience. 

13:15pm Tournament ends! Kids sit down for food and cake.

13:25pm We interrupt the meal to give out the winner’s gift, runners up gift, and participation gifts for the rest of the group. 

13:45pm End.
