Inspired by the Celtic tribes of Europe and the hardy frontiersmen of the New World, Johnny Throws replicates the age-old art of competitive axe-throwing.
Customers won’t have to stand in a forest aiming at trees, however, they’ll be warm, snug, and safe in a cage, throwing their axes at a projected target.
This target could be a simple bull’s eye, or anything from a range of other fun games, including Battle Royale, Noughts and Crosses and Target Lock.
Johnny Throws Axe Throwing games are far more advanced, far more varied, and far more enjoyable than any other axe throwing venue in the country (in our humble opinion…).
Johnny Throws isn’t just about axe-throwing. It’s about team-building and mastering new skills. It’s about enjoying a unique, extraordinary experience.
There’s a fully-licensed bar and lounge area where customers can unwind after the game. And the best bit? You can enjoy a fresh, Johnny Dough’s pizza before, during, or after you throw. 😋
The Johnny Throws terrace is the best spot on the street (and the last place to lose the sun), and the staff are fully dedicated to your safety, enjoyment, and relaxation.
We make you welcome, you make the memories. 📸
Johnny Throws Axe Throwing is the brainchild of local businessman Morgan Austin. You may know him better as Johnny Dough, founder of the super-popular Johnny Dough’s restaurant chain. You may also know him for his appearance on Four in a Bed, as covered by the Pioneer back in April, 2021.
Johnny Throws is a departure from normal catering, it’s more like catering to people’s sense of adventure. While there’s lots of adrenaline-fueled excitement to be had in North Wales, much of it is outdoors and weather-dependent.
Morgan wished to create an experience anyone could enjoy, any time, be it snow or sun, rain or shine. He wanted something people could pick up right away. And he wanted it to be THRILLING. This is what Johnny Throws is all about.
